Sella Farmaceutici enters cycling: agreement with Team Polti VisitMalta for 2026

Sella Farmaceutici officially enters the world of cycling, joining Team Polti VisitMalta as Health Partner. A collaboration that goes beyond brand visibility on the team's jerseys for the entire 2026 season and translates into an active presence alongside the team: from event participation to meetings with the athletes, all the way to sharing race-day moments in the hospitality areas.

The partnership stems from the growing centrality of athlete care in top-level sport and from Sella Farmaceutici's desire — an Italian company active since 1920 in the health and well-being sector — to invest in a context that mirrors its values and vision. The choice of supporting the leading Italian team in professional cycling was therefore a natural one.

Team Polti VisitMalta riders will become direct ambassadors of the Sella Farmaceutici brand, not only thanks to the visibility guaranteed in races and training, but also through the concrete use of many of our products in their daily sporting routine.

This Health Partnership represents the meeting of two worlds and two kindred souls. It is the intertwining of Sella Farmaceutici's 105 years of history and the journey of our team, enriched today by a new synergy that will allow us to tell and spread important messages about health. I'm proud that an Italian company with such great tradition has chosen to join us.

Ivan Basso, Team Principal of Team Polti VisitMalta

We are proud to start this adventure alongside Team Polti VisitMalta, the strongest Italian road cycling team. With Ivan Basso we immediately found ourselves on the same wavelength thanks to shared values such as passion, tradition, research and innovation aimed at improving performance and health. 2026 will be a crucial year for our growth and we were looking for a partner able to represent our determination to 'attack' the market with the same grit you face a climb.

    Team Polti VisitMalta

Founded in 2018, it is today the Italian benchmark team in international cycling. Backed by the legacy of two founders of the calibre of Ivan Basso and Alberto Contador, Team Polti VisitMalta has competed in the Giro d'Italia for five consecutive years, winning two mountain stages (in 2021 on the legendary Zoncolan and in 2023 on the Gran Sasso) and is frequently invited to some of the most prestigious races on the professional calendar, such as Milan–Sanremo and Il Lombardia.

It has helped to develop and launch talented riders such as Lorenzo Fortunato and Davide Piganzoli into top-tier cycling, and is coming off its most successful season ever, with 6 wins in total in 2025. Almost unique in the cycling world, it produces its own bicycles in-house under the AURUM brand.
