Laboratorio Chimico Farmaceutico A. Sella manufactures in-house around 90% of the products it markets
Certified pharmaceutical quality and over 100 years of experienceWe oversee the entire production process, from sourcing raw materials to distribution in pharmacies and hospitals. Designed for people's health and well-being, our products are present throughout Italy via a sales network of around sixty agents, many of them exclusive.
The company employs around one hundred and ten people, divided across two production units: one specialised in the manufacturing of medicines and the other in the food-dietary sector.

STATE-OF-THE-ART ANALYTICAL LABORATORIES
Quality and safety controls on incoming goods, during production and on the finished product are guaranteed by our internal analytical laboratories.
The chemical and microbiological laboratories are equipped with cutting-edge instruments and managed by qualified personnel to ensure products meet the required standards. The company also has extensive storage and warehousing facilities with humidity and temperature control systems.
Our entire production complies with GMP standards for medicinal products.
Our catalogue features four main product groups:
- 1Galenical and generic medicines (microenemas, syrups, solutions, tinctures, paracetamol, sodium bicarbonate tablets, etc.)
- 2OTC specialties (Tussibron, Sodium Bicarbonate)
- 3Food supplements (Bioton and Biolactine lines)
- 4Cosmetic lines for skin care and cleansing (Pasta di Hoffmann, Derigyn, Remy Stick)
The Sella range is further enriched by specific products for summer (mosquito line) and winter (propolis line). In recent years, the Contract Manufacturing business has also expanded. A growing share of production capacity is dedicated to manufacturing medicines, supplements and cosmetics on behalf of national and international pharmaceutical companies.
Commitment to the environment and the local community
Following the 2010 expansion, a photovoltaic system was installed on the roof of the new building, capturing solar radiation during the day and converting it into electricity.

Social Responsibility
Laboratorio Chimico Farmaceutico A. Sella supports DOCTORS WITH AFRICA CUAMM, a non-governmental organisation founded in Padua in 1950 that promotes the human right to health and access to healthcare for all. Originally founded to train doctors for developing countries, CUAMM now operates mainly in Africa with long-term healthcare cooperation programmes.
