Bioton at the Busa Trail Relay 2025: a relay between sky, wind and Monte Novegno

On Saturday 30 August 2025, on the summit pastures of Monte Novegno above Schio, a new edition of the Busa Trail Relay took place: a trail running relay that has become a much-awaited fixture for anyone who loves running at altitude, with views stretching from the Vicenza plain to the Piccole Dolomiti. Bioton was at the start as official technical partner, once again choosing to stand close to athletes exactly where effort and the joy of moving meet.

A high-altitude relay between Schio and the Piccole Dolomiti

The Busa Trail Relay runs entirely on the Novegno plateau, between alpine hamlets, trails carved into the pastures and technical sections that climb up to the most scenic viewpoints of the massif. A team format that highlights the collective nature of trail running: every leg runner tackles their section and then hands the baton to a teammate, in a continuous alternation of starts, exchanges and bursts of enthusiasm.

Public response, as every year, was warm: families, friends and fans filled the exchange areas, finish lines and aid stations, turning the day into a true celebration of grassroots sport.

Bioton, natural energy for those who run in the mountains

On the banners along the course and at the aid stations, Bioton played its part — our line of pharmacy food supplements dedicated to natural energy: a range designed to support those who practise endurance sports, especially when the body is asked to deliver consistency, focus and recovery, as in trail running races.

Being technical partner of an event like the Busa Trail Relay means, for Bioton and for Sella Farmaceutici, putting our experience as a chemical-pharmaceutical laboratory at the service of those who choose running in nature as a lifestyle: from preparation in the weeks before the race to recovery after the relay.

Sport, nature and team spirit on our territory

Monte Novegno is one of the most beloved natural balconies of Schio and the Alto Vicentino: open pastures, malghe, historic trails and a view that on clear days reaches as far as the Venetian Lagoon. Supporting an event that brings hundreds of athletes onto these trails means, for us, promoting an outdoor movement culture, mindful enjoyment of the mountains and a deep bond with the territory where Sella Farmaceutici has been operating for over a hundred years.

Bioton is glad to take part in events like these as a technical partner, and happy to keep promoting sport, nature and team spirit on our territory.

Thanks to everyone who made the day possible

A sincere thank-you to the organisers, the volunteers, the hut keepers on Novegno and to all the teams that took the start: the success of an event like the Busa Trail Relay is born from the encounter between sporting passion, local communities and companies of the territory. Bioton and Sella Farmaceutici are proud to have been part of it and look forward to the next editions, always alongside those who run, ride and live the mountains.
